See What Other Teachers are Saying:

ā I love using Task Cards and the variety here is awesome! Students can work at their own pace, in groups or by themselves. We reviewed present tense before starting preterite. A great tactile, non-computer review for students.

ā I enjoyed using these - a nice change in format from the traditional grammar worksheet. Also, I love that there are 48 cards as there are extras to provide students who work quickly since I used them in a round robin style.

ā The sets by La Profe Plotts are always a great way for my students review. I love how there are so many options for how they can be used!

Present tense task cards can be used in many different ways!

ā€¢ Cut up and distribute around the classroom (hang up on walls, scatter on desks, even hide for some extra fun). Have students go around with a sheet and answer any 30 (or whatever number you want to give them). Makes for a great review before a test!

ā€¢ Use in conjunction with other activities during stations.

ā€¢ If you have a document camera, you could show students a card and have them write answers on mini whiteboards and hold up, either individually or as a team.

ā€¢ Extra five minutes left in class you hadn't planned on? Task cards always save the day! Pull out the task card set and use it for a quick game, formative assessment, or rapid-fire quiz for candy.
