PRESCHOOL ADDITION: ST. PATRICK’S DAY
Preschool Addition includes activities for addition in 5. Each activity is simple to prep and easy to use in the classroom.
INCLUDED IN PRESCHOOL ADDITION:
- 10 Addition Bonds (within 5)
- 10 addition mats (within 5)
- Addition board game
- Dice for board game
HOW TO USE PRESCHOOL ADDITION:
Addition Bonds:
- Students will use manipulatives to represent the numbers in the circles.
- Then, students will write the total in the empty circle.
Addition Mats:
- Students will use manipulatives to add the designated number to the mat.
- Then, students will count how many they have total (including the picture).
Addition Board Game:
- The first turn for each student, they will place one manipulative in the first circle.
- Then, the student will roll the dice and put that number of manipulatives (squares are included) in the second circle.
- The student will add the two circles together, and move that many spaces.
- For all other turns, students will put the number of their current space on the board in the first circle, and roll for the number for the second circle.
