Month By Month Instructions:
This project can be completed either as an individual or in a group. When I did it for my Child Development class I did small groups of 2 or 3. They will be responsible for "teaching" their assigned Month to the class. They will create a PPT presentation as well as a 3D poster. I was able to provide my class with materials to do this and they absolutely love trying to figure out how to make it 3D. It is one of my favorite projects of the year because they students get so creative.
Month By Month Project Rubric:
The rubric provides a step by step guide of what needs to be included in their project. You can adjust as needed for your classes. I have found the clearer I am about the project expectations the easier it is for me to grade them and the students to complete them successfully.
Month By Month Make-Up Project:
This project didn't originally have a make-up project, but if you are completing this during the winter and you have a lot of students missing school it is a great way to make sure that the students who are absent are still completing something and not taking credit for being in a group when they didn't do anything because they were absent. This can also be used as a individual project for your class.

HOW I TEACH IT: You can stretch this assignment out for 2 weeks (and honestly can be a great before break project) depending on how long your class periods are and how much time you give them to create their projects in class. I would always pair this with the Prenatal/Fetal Development -Month by Month PPT. I would lecture for 2 days and have them complete the follow along notes, and then I would have them use their notes and the additional resources I provided to do have 1 or 2 days of project planning, 2 days to complete their presentation, followed by at least 4 days of class time to work on the 3D Posters (we had 45 minute class periods). The project is their assessment for the Prenatal Development Unit because there is a lot to remember about prenatal development for a high school student and because I would get a lot of classroom engagement from this project.

Be creative and flexible with this project whether you are doing group or individual projects!
