Prehistoric Indian Human Timeline Activity
Description
Review the Prehistoric Indian cultures found in Ohio and the United States in this hands-on, human history timeline for 4th and 5th graders! Students will be matching colorful timeline pictures with key characteristic and dates as they learn the progression of the 6 main groups of Prehistoric Indians (Paleo, Archaic, Adena, Hopewell, Fort Ancient, Woodlands). Includes a follow up, individual cut and paste activity for additional intervention or as a formative assessment. All materials are available in 2 versions (BC/AD) or (BCE/CE). Students will be able to build connections by utilizing the important skills of cause & effect, making inferences, and sequencing events. This provides a fun and engaging review for students to actively participate in! Includes 6 colorful posters visually depicting each culture, 6 matching description/date cards, timeline note sheet, cut and paste activity, and complete directions/answer keys. Just print out the timeline cards and you are ready to go!
