What educators are saying

I love this project! My students are working on segmenting words to help with decoding. This really helped them to practice their skills and build meaning of new and longer words.

Description

This lemonade craft is the perfect way to review prefixes. To complete this activity students sort ice cubes (base words) to the correct prefix (lemonade pitcher). The lemon includes the meaning of the prefix. Once students have completed the craft there is a recording sheet that requires students to write the new word and the meaning of the word. This activity is perfect to conclude your prefix unit, or it is also the perfect activity to use as an end of the year review. Ending the day with a lemonade treat makes it even more fun!
