Description

Make interpreting and evaluating exponential expressions more fun with this engaging activity! In this activity students interpret and evaluate exponential expressions to solve the mystery! You'll love the quick and easy set-up; your students will love solving the case.

This item is editable using Adobe Acrobat Reader! Now you can customize the suspects, items and locations! Please note that with this update, the file may not function correctly in all PDF Readers. Please use Acrobat Reader to ensure best functionality.

You are able to customize the suspects, the valuable items, the locations and the title of the mystery.

Please note you are NOT able to change the actual problems in the activity.

This kit offers three ways to use this activity.

Use as a Scavenger Hunt: The download includes 23 full-color cards for you to print and hang around your room for a class activity. As students solve their problems, they look around the room for their answer to see what clue they should eliminate.

Use as an Individual Activity: The download also includes a version that has all of the necessary clue information so students can complete this activity outside of the classroom. This is perfect for students who were absent during the class activity.

Use as a Digital Activity: The download includes a link to a drag-and-drop Google Slides activity your students may complete.

In all versions, the activity contains 20 questions.

Each answer is associated with either a suspect, a valuable item or a location. When a student gets the answer, that option is eliminated from the mystery. When they are finished, students will only have one suspect, one valuable item that was stolen and location left, and they will have solved the mystery!
