What educators are saying

I am using this for a 7th grade enhancement/enrichment class and we are doing a novel study. This is such a great resource, love how it is broken down into chapters and it really gets the students engaged in discussion about the book.
This resource aligned well with the book as we read through the chapters. Students were able to review vocabulary and answer comprehension questions consistently using this resource.

Description

"Posted" by John David Anderson is a page turner book, and I created this unit so that students would have some responsibility at chapter ends but would not be delayed long. Consequently, for every chapter I have three (mostly multiple part) questions, similar to exit tickets but a little longer and more detailed.

I broke up the story into four units: Ch.1 to 5; Ch.6 to 10; Ch.7 to 15, Ch. 16 to 20. It should do well for a read-aloud, all-class reading, or small groups.

Included are:

- Word study page for each unit;

- Three mostly multiple part questions for each chapter; each unit ending in a writing prompt.

- Novel TEST: Ten each - True/False, Who said or did? (from a given list), multiple choice (from a choice of four), and five essay style questions.

- Activities include a character chart, a cover page with word search, a page to illustrate a scene from the novel, and Analysis writing prompts - four, on their own stationery.
