Description

Target decoding CVC words and phonemic awareness skills by identifying the medial or middle sounds in CVC words. Perfect for small groups, literacy centers, or independent work. Learners will match pictures to their CVC word popcorn bucket AND identify the short vowel sounds in CVC words and sort them into vowel popcorn buckets. A digital slide presentation is also included so you can review the CVC words before and/or after you assign the activities.

This activity can be used for reading centers, literacy centers, small group work, or independent work.

** Extension Activity: SLPs and Teachers can also use this as a vocabulary exercise by having learners describe each picture.
