Description

There are 3 main projects and over half a dozen stand alone lessons to provide context and clarity. It's intended for use with Google Classroom or other online platforms and is perfect for at-home or remote learning. Full of video tutorials, screen shots, and other "how-to's" it makes it easy for both the student AND the teacher to master this content.

I taught this unit as a 5 week daily elective for 7th & 8th graders but it can be easily modified to suit your needs. The goal of the course is that student create an original piece of digital music using a (FREE) online program with the option of publishing it (Spotify).

One of the most buzz worthy and asked about areas of middle and high school music programs is digital music. It is simultaneously one of the most desired areas and one of the most intimidating. However, with a little practice anyone can produce great original work using these tools. These lessons and materials can be used as individual activities or as part of a larger unit. If you have access to tech and the internet in your classrooms, then I would definitely give digital music a try!
