Description
The eruption of Mt. Vesuvius and the destruction of Pompeii is a story that captures students’ attention and makes them hungry for more information. Students love the stories behind those who lived in Pompeii at the time of the eruption and examining what was left behind. Students also have so many questions. Did anyone survive the eruption? Why were people living so close to an active volcano? How much damage did the eruption cause?
