Description

Are you looking for a Polynomial End Behavior Activity for your AP PreCalculus students which includes Limit Notation as described in Unit 1 - Topic 1.6A?

In this activity students analyze and sort the end behaviors of 18 polynomial functions. The functions are given as a mix of polynomials and verbal descriptions.

Students can use this activity in 3 ways:

  • Students cut the function cards and paste them onto the included sorting mat.
  • Students place the cards into the correct sorting envelopes which can be glued into notebooks..
  • Not a fan of cut and paste? Since the functions are identified by letters, your students can use the sorting mat to identify the correct end behaviors by writing the letters of the functions.

For your convenience, I have included two versions of the activities, both with Limit notation and without, using traditional arrow notation.

Please look at the preview to ensure that these problems are appropriate for your classes.
