Description

Save $ with this Polar Bear, Polar Bear bundled pack!!!This pack has both the Retelling Pack, as well as the Math and Literacy Extension Activities! These activities are intended to enrich and supplement the story "Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?" Written by Bill Martin Jr. and Illustrated by Eric Carle.

Here's what's included:

Vocabulary Cards: Print, laminate, and display. I put mine in a pocket chart. We discuss vocabulary before we read the story. During journal time, my little ones will pick a word, write it in their journals, and illustrate the word.

Story retelling cards: Print, laminate, and cut out. Give students a picture to hold during the story. When that student’s part is read he/she will hold up the picture. Print off two copies and play a memory type game. Also can be used with the cut and paste retelling activity to help little ones identify the picture needed.

Polar Bear, Polar Bear Puppet Pieces: Use to retell the story. Print, laminate, and cut apart. Attach pieces to a popsicle stick or hole punch and wear as a necklace as students act out the story.

I have Who Has cards: Print, laminate, and cut apart. Use to reinforce vocabulary from the story, as well as enrich language skills. Students will “read the card” in the form of sentences. The first card to start will be the last card read.
