Poet Project for Middle Grade Poetry Unit

Need something to engage your students OUTSIDE the classroom? This is it! Attached is the outline for a poetry project that pairs each student up with a "classic" poet or songwriter. Alongside Walt Whitman and Yeats, you'll find Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley, along with a list that includes at least one literarily significant work for each of the creators.
