Poem of the Day - 227 poems (formerly named Poems for All Year)
What educators are saying
Description
Are you searching for short, fun, simple poems for Shared Reading, or your Fluency Center? Here is your answer. I wrote a poem for every day of the school year. Yes, who know? I'm a rhymer! There are 227 poems total, and there's roughly 180 school days, so there's plenty, and enough for you to skip the ones that aren't celebrated at your school.
Each poem is written in a four line format, with a rhyme at then end of the 2nd and 4th line. These poems are ideal for K, 1st and 2nd grades, and 3rd graders will love them too, or upper grades needing a fluency intervention or Special Education. Read them chorally and repeatedly for maximum enjoyment and fluency!
File includes:
227 poems (1 pdf + 227 png files)
13 covers (1 pdf + 13 png files)
TOU, Credits page
Either print them out and create 2-pocket Poetry Folders, or shrink them to 90% on the copier to glue them into your Interactive Notebook composition books. If you are paperless classroom, upload them to SeeSaw and turn on the microphone. Students can highlight sight words, spelling patterns, suffixes and punctuation on paper or in your app.
I have also written a "grammar key" for each of these poems. The grammar keys are not required to use this product, but many teachers asked for it, so the Grammar Keys will help your students dive deeper into each poem and you can tick off all their language standards!
If you have any questions, please be sure to ask before purchasing!
If you are interested in this product + a handwriting component, see
THIS BUNDLE PRODUCT in my TpT store, which is all these poems plus accompanying handwriting sheets that go with each poem.
Thank you so much!
