Planet Research Project Template: One Page Worksheet for ANY Planet

I LOVED learning about the Milky Way solar system when I was in school, and it is one of my favorite topics to teach. I particularly enjoyed researching various planets, and wanted to make one page template that could easily be used to research any planet.

This is a favorite project of mine, and for kids! They're often surprised to that other planets often have more than one moon, an that other planets have weather patterns!

This template is great for:

• Science / astronomy units
• Learning about the Milky Way solar system
• Sub-plans. A quick, easy project!

INCLUDED IN THIS RESOURCE:

• Planet Research Project Template: This one page template may be used to research any planet! Students will look up facts about a particular planet, such as the planet name, how far it is from the sun, how many moons it has, and so on.
• Example Pages: Three examples are included to demonstrate how these research project worksheets should be filled out.
• Online Resources: Student friendly websites that may be used to research planets.

HOW TO USE THIS RESOURCE:

• Print enough copies of the planet research worksheet so that each student gets one, plus a few extra as back-up.
• Show students the sample pages, if you feel it is necessary. These may be helpful for some planets that have no exact discovery date or person who is credited with discovering it.
