Description

Reading & Writing Whole Numbers in Words -To Millions - Lesson/ Crossword Puzzle
- Students read and write whole numbers, up to millions, in words in this 3 part lesson. First, your students are guided through the process of changing multi-digit whole numbers from standard to word form. Next, they practice this process by filling out checks for charity and a lottery prize check. Students will also practice the skill by completing a cross-number and word puzzle.
Reading & Writing Decimals in Words -To Thousandths Lesson & Crossword Puzzle
- Students read and write decimal numbers to thousandths, in words in this 3 part lesson. First, your students are guided through the process of changing decimal numbers from standard to word form. Next, they practice this process by filling out a students' race times and long jump distances. Students will also practice the skill by completing a cross-number and word puzzle.
Comparing Whole Numbers up to Millions - 3 Part Lesson - Problem Solving
- Compare whole numbers up to the millions that are represented in standard form, words, expanded form, and expanded form with words in this 3 part problem-solving lesson. First, your students are guided through the process of representing and comparing multi-digit whole numbers. Next, they compare numbers found in real-world contexts (i.e. House listings, lotteries). A bonus activity of using an atlas to research and compare world facts is included.
