What educators are saying

This is a very great resource to use for number sense warmups. I used the task cards in my sub tub and the sub liked the resource as well. Thank you!
I love using these as warm-ups for class each day. I teach high school self-contained math and this provides a great review of skills and problem solving. The level is lower so it's not unattainable for my students, but still makes them think.

    Description

This place value bundle includes 18 quality place value activities that can be used successfully with grades 2-5. This may seem like a big grade level range, but—as you know—each grade comes with students who need work both above and below the place value standards assigned to them.

The resources are divided into three sections:

    1. Resources ideal for grades 2-3 OR for intervention and review work for older students.

    2. Resources ideal for grades 3-5 OR for intervention for older students or possibly enrichment work for younger students.

    3. Place value games to help reinforce place value and number sense skills.

So often, place value is taught to merely "fill in the blank". Students are not expected to manipulate numbers, reason deeply, or focus on estimation. The resources in this bundle can change all that!

    INCLUDED:

    • Standards list
    • Instruction considerations related to place value
    • List of the 18 included resources (Includes whole class activities, assessments, explorations, centers, and games)
    • Explanation of each resource and how it can be used
    • Answer keys--when applicable

I hope you find these deeply discounted resources a true treasure box to have to supplement and/or replace some of the place value work you have. Students will be engaged and understand at a much deeper level. Enjoy!
