Description

Your students will apply their knowledge of Piecewise Functions to graphing and analyzing a Roller Coaster. Tasks include graphing parts of a piecewise function, determining the graph of linear piecewise functions, and analyzing the function using function notation and real-world applications. The extension activity allows students to use their creativity to design a new roller coaster by writing a piecewise function. This activity is very well scaffolded and is accessible to students of all ability levels. Enjoy!
