Picture-Word Match: Advanced Sounds Bundle

The Picture-Word Match: Advanced Sounds Bundle will assist you as your teach children to read words with many types of advanced sounds, including blends, silent “e,” digraphs, vowel teams, and diphthongs. The material is ideal for the Language shelf of a Montessori classroom, Language Arts center work, and homeschooling.

Each individual Picture-Word Match pack includes:

1) Picture Mats (a total of 37 in the bundle) and Word Cards. Vowels and consonants are offered in both blue and red. Print the Word Cards that are consistent with your educational environment.

2) Picture Cards for matching without the mats (i.e., for group activities, work on a Montessori floor rug or table placemat).

3) Control Charts (correct answers) for self-correction of the work by the child. Vowels and consonants are offered in both blue and red. Print the Control Charts that are consistent with your educational environment.

4) Blackline masters of the Picture Mats and Word Cards, to use as extensions or cut-and-paste style worksheets.

Please note: The Picture-Word Match: Advanced Sounds packs contain the same pictures as the Word Building: Advanced Sounds packs. Different skills (i.e., reading and spelling/writing, respectively) are practiced when using each of the materials. Multiple sets are provided so that sets can be rotated.
