Description

The first step to students using the elements listed in the phrase and clause standard is for them to have a basic understanding of the difference between a phrase and a clause--and why they are both important to our writing. This product contains the following:

• A twenty-five slide Prezi that explains the difference between phrases and clauses. It includes several examples, a slide explaining their importance, and ten guided practice questions with answer slides that give in-depth explanations. The Prezi file itself is included so you can simply save it to your computer. A link to the Prezi is also included.

• A “ticket out” activity

• A fifteen-question quiz

• Quiz answer key

You can see the Prezi and all other documents in the preview file. If you haven’t used a Prezi in your classroom, I encourage you to give it a try! It is much more dynamic than PowerPoint and really keeps my students’ attention.
