What educators are saying

I liked this little assignment a lot. During the pandemic when we couldn't meet in person, I struggled to think of lessons that might get the kids outside a bit (so long as they were social distancing), and this worked great for my Env. Science class with some adjusting to cover topics from class.
Used as a final project for end of the year in Env. Science. The ones who chose this did a great job!

Description

We are now in digital learning through the end of the year and what are you going to do about a final exam? Try this project out for your class! It is easily edited to correlate with your curriculum for Environmental Science. I have it set up for what we covered second semester, but you can easily change it out to fit your classroom. This is a great project idea that is engaging for students. They have to explore their house and neighborhood to find "terms" or "concepts" learned in class. Then, they will put together a photo journal detailing their knowledge on each topic. Rubric is included!
