What educators are saying

These are a great resource to use during my small group time. They go over a lot of skills and can be used Independently as well.
I was looking for a resource that targets decodable and story grammar and came across this! Great resource that works on story comprehension using decodables!

Description

This bundle includes an entire year’s worth of targeted phonics passages. To add a little excitement, each passage is in the form of a brochure. Within each tri-fold, students must…

  1. Read the passage.
  2. Read the passage a second time and circle all of the words with the phonics pattern.
  3. Write all of the words with the phonics pattern.
  4. Read the passage a third time, underlining the answers to the comprehension questions. (Students will color a star each time they read the passage.)
  5. Draw an illustration of the beginning, middle, and end.
  6. Describe the characters, setting, problem, and solution.

***These are the SAME fluency passages that are included in my 1st grade Houghton-Mifflin Wonders supplemental units. DO NOT purchase this bundle if you have purchased these units.
