Description
This bundle of decodable passages are perfect to practice CVC, Digraphs and Blends, and CVCe words as well as sequencing! Have your students practice story retelling and decoding with these themed passages. They include four sight words to highlight on each page. There are 4 retelling pieces per page. There is some varying of difficulty to allow for easy differentiation. Please see the preview for more passage examples. These passages include decodable words AND sight words. These pages are black and white, the preview shows examples after they have been colored. Thanks!
Students will:
- Read the passage 3 times
- Highlight 4 of the sight words
- Cut and paste the pictures to put the story in order
Decodable words
- CVC words (dog, jet, bed, pig, etc.)
- Simple beginning and ending blends and digraphs (ex: shop, frog, slug, fish, bath)
- Simple CVCE and CCVCE words (ex: bike, game, race, Duke, plane, snake)
- Some plural words (ex: pigs, shops, loves, skates)
Sight words:
- 4 sight words to find on each page
This is perfect for:
- Literacy Centers or Reading Stations
- Morning Work
- Finished Bins or "I'm Finished" Work
