Philadelphia Constitutional Convention Skit Play Student Engagement GUARANTEED

This play/skit is perfect for any middle school or high school student learning about the framing of the US constitution. (Several main characters have multiple lines, while other characters have just one line or two so this can accommodate all sorts of different personalities in your classroom) How the delegates there squabbled with each other almost every day for 4-5 months. Not unlike our present day government leaders. It was (to coin a phrase in today's vernacular) a BIG HOT MESS EXPRESS. This play is in "word format" so it can be edited to fit your needs or audience. I use this in my own classroom EVERY SEMESTER and quite often I tweak a line here or there to add humor or relevance to a current situation in our own current government. Truth truly is stranger than fiction so hooking my students by adding lines that meme, mimic or mirror current events is a must. You are welcome to edit out things that are of no use to your particular classroom's like the references to me in the play.
