Description

In this show the traditional story of Peter Pan is told but the musical performances are anything but traditional! The music in this version of Peter Pan will get your students moving! Popular songs they know and love are woven meaningfully into the tale.

This Peter Pan performance package can be used by an elementary classroom teacher, a music teacher, a summer camp coordinator, or a drama program instructor.

This show could be performed by anywhere from 25 to 100+ students depending on stage size.

The length of the performance is approximately 40 minutes. I recommend using a combination of pre-recorded audio (that you record of your own students) and live performance. However, the “11 audio clips” could easily be performed live! The speaker/"audio clip" parts narrate the story of Peter Pan. There is no character dialogue.

This show was originally performed by 60 students in my drama program (K through 5th). I divided them into 3 class groups of 20 students. However this show could easily be performed by less or more students depending on your class/classes and your stage.

Some grouping options are:

One class (25 students) split into 3 cast groups

Three classes each taking a cast group

Six classes with two classes in each cast group

Cast Groups:

1. Fairy group - Boy and girl fairies + includes one student dressed as Wendy

2. Lost Boys/Indian group - Indian style costumes with various animal additions + includes students dressed as Peter, Michael and John

3. Pirate group - Pirate costumes + includes one student dressed as Captain Hook
