Description

This fun values bingo game helps students in Grades 3 to 6 to begin to understand different personal values and their importance. This low prep resource has everything you need to teach this important social and emotional learning (SEL) lesson! It includes warm up activity, bingo games, closing activity, visual schedule, tip sheets and a lesson plan!

What makes this values activity unique?

It’s visual, adaptable and engaging, with two possible options for play! It features two options for calling cards (In bingo, a calling card has the picture/word which matches the picture on the bingo board)

⭐️OPTION A - Calling cards come with clues written as poems. For example, for the value "contribution", the clue is: "We raise our hands to answer a question, and share our ideas without hesitation. It's doing your part, big or small, to make a difference and give your all." Then the class can guess what the value might be, encouraging a class discussion. This makes the game really engaging!

⭐️OPTION B - There is also an option for calling cards to be just visuals for students to match to their bingo board (which may be better suited for younger students).

This personal values bingo game includes a lesson plan with linked goals. It features 4x4 bingo squares and is ideal for primary school years grade 3/4 and above. If you would like the 3x3bingo square game for Pre-K to grade 3 - please click here.

Why should we teach students about values?

Teaching kids about personal values is important because it helps them understand who they are and what is important to them. By identifying their own values, children can make better decisions and choices that align with their beliefs and goals. It also helps them develop a strong sense of self and empowers them to communicate their needs and boundaries effectively. Teaching kids about personal values helps them understand themselves better, make more thoughtful decisions, and build positive relationships with others.
