    Description

Performance Psychology Package for Sport and other Pursuits of Excellence: A Mini Course with 13 Lessons & Handouts

Put on your Psychologist’s hat and teach your students how to reach excellence in their academic learning and in their personal sports and hobbies.

Our students need help in understanding what excellence looks like. They want to succeed, and many of them try hard; however, they often lack the skills and strategies to optimize performance.

This mini course is designed to help you, the teacher, present key principles and concepts in Performance and Sport Psychology, ranging from ‘distraction control,’ ‘relaxation and breathing techniques’ to the ‘stages of team development and cohesion.’ In addition, there are a variety of approaches and materials to access the material: lectures, reading handouts, self-assessment questionnaires, videos, poetry and film studies.

Over 90 pages of lessons and handouts.

THE LESSONS are presented in suggested teaching order to aid students in building their performance psychology ‘toolbox’, although they can also be used as very effective stand-alone lessons.
