Penguin Snowball Fight! Graphing Quadratic Equations in Vertex Form
Description
This activity requires students to NEATLY graph quadratic functions in vertex form.
Students will graph 8 parabolas, and should have an understanding of various transformations: horizontal and vertical translations, vertical reflections, and vertical stretches. All graphs have at least 2 transformations. After students graph each parabola, they write the letter of the function next to the penguin that it went through. This is a fitting activity for winter months, such as December, January, or February, but is also fun to use at any time of the year!
