Description
Learning about and exploring shapes has been the most engaging unit this year! What better way to practice and review what we have learned by using these pattern block task cards. The perfect math center to encourage independent learning!
There are 12 task cards in each of the 5 sets for a total of 60 different task cards! Since there are countless ways to arrange pattern blocks, a single set of task cards can produce endless combinations.
Set 1: hexagon, square, rhombus, triangle
Set 2: trapezoid, square, rhombus, triangle
Set 3: hexagon, trapezoid, rhombus, triangle
Set 4: hexagon, square, trapezoid, triangle
Set 5: hexagon, square, rhombus, trapezoid
Students select a set of cards. They choose a single card and read to see how many of each shape they need to use. Students arrange the pattern blocks to create a new shape/design. Then they draw/trace their shape on a separate piece of paper.
Each card is numbered and the breakdown of each set can be found in the download as well as the product pictures.
Did I mention there are PRINTER-FRIENDLY VERSIONS?
Personally, I prefer to use my own colored paper to print my centers, so I have included them in this product.
