What educators are saying
Description
In this Patriots and Loyalists propaganda assignment, students create propaganda to demonstrate the attitudes and feelings of the patriots and loyalists in the buildup to the Revolutionary War. Students create a propaganda poster from either the patriot or loyalist perspective, then write a letter from the opposite perspective! Students create both pieces of propaganda from the included "Patriot and Loyalist: The Arguments" handout!
**This activity is marked as taking 3 days, however this may vary based on how much time you give for students to work in class. I always have students submit rough draft copies of both the poster and the letter before creating a final. This ensures better quality work, however will consume more class time.
