REVISED and EXPANDED! This 19 page pack provides an overview of what a "passion project" is (an independent study on something a student is passionate about), common core standards for grades 3-6. Packet takes students through the entire process. Starts with "Steps to becoming an expert"
-Planning section includes: Overview, "List your interests", brainstorming page, schema and question page, related ideas web, general research page
-Searching section includes: Overview, getting started with resources page, internet tips page, "key words/phrases" brainstorming page, "watch out for worries on the web" tips
-Note taking section includes: tips for "scanning", two-column note taking page, bibliography basics page
-Sharing section includes: ways to organize info (description, compare/contrast, sequencing, cause/effect or problem/solution) with conclusion, and list of 108 project ideas (ways to share knowledge gained).
