Description

Are you searching for a game that's both simple and fun for your musical Earth Day lessons? Look no further! Pass the Trash is a passing and sorting game designed with your lower elementary students in mind. It's a great way to practice rhythms and learn about the importance of sorting our trash to help our Earth! The game encourages discussions on which items go to compost, recycle, landfill, and which can be reused, all in a simple and enjoyable format.

In this product you will find:

  • Book recommendations for an Earth Day lesson that would correspond with this game
  • Song recommendations for a recycled-themed playlist to play during the passing game (due to most of these songs being listed as “made for kids,” YouTube Music won’t allow me to make and share a playlist of these songs)
  • Additional songs and activity recommendations to create an entire lesson to supplement this game.
  • Instructions for the simple musical passing and sorting game, Pass the Trash.
  • Rhythm cards for the game have two options: One set with the corresponding rhythm on the front and one set with the corresponding rhythm to be printed on the back (rhythms used: quarter note, barred eighth notes, and quarter rest).

Format included: PDF.
