Description

Functional and Fun Sentence Checklist with Bonus Song Lyrics!

Why I created this resource for my students? I needed a poster for quick reference in my classroom and a pocket size version for student desks so students create the routine of checking their sentences for necessary parts. In my first grade classroom I focus on these 4 criteria because I find this to be most developmentally appropriate for my students!

While the bonus song is not an award winning song, my students have committed it to memory to help them to remember all the parts of a sentence! I include the tune to follow and a poster of the song as well! Sorry in advance as the tune will be hard to get out of your head-- but that's the point for our students!
