Paris Olympics Mini Lesson:

Teach your French students about the Famous Sites that they will see during the 2024 Summer Olympic Games! These games will be like none-other. Beach Volleyball will take place right in front of the Eiffel Tower! And the Opening Ceremonies will take place on boats down the Seine River!

Print the pages to display around the room and have the students do a gallery walk. Or project them and discuss each venue as a class.

At the end of the lesson is an activity page where students will draw their favorite sport and venue where that sport takes place. I hope you enjoy!

I recommend this packet for students in French 2, 3, 4, AP

Students in French 1 should be able to use/enjoy about half of the packet. They can learn the sport vocabulary, ask basic questions, do a simple project about the different athletes, etc. They may need to skip the surveys and grammar pages.

*I plan to use these slowly and deliberately throughout the year in my classroom, rather than all at once. I hope this will get my students excited for the Paris 2024 Olympics!
