Played like the game of “Spoons,” this small group activity gives students an opportunity to review characteristics of parent functions. They won’t even realize they are learning!

This set of cards includes 48 cards, 12 sets of four that relate characteristics of 12 parent functions:
linear
absolute value
quadratic
cubic
cube root
exponential
log
rational (inverse)
rational (inverse squared)
greatest integer
constant

The goal is to get a complete set of four cards that includes a graph, an equation, the identity of the function and whether the function is odd, even or neither.

AND there are multiple ideas/games included for how to use these cards.
