Parallel and Perpendicular Lines in the Coordinate Plane | Task Cards
- PDF
Description
Students will practice identifying parallel and perpendicular lines on the coordinate plane with this set of 24 task cards. This includes:
- Determining whether lines are parallel, perpendicular, or neither given ordered pairs.
- Determining whether lines are parallel, perpendicular, or neither given the equations of the lines. Equations are given in both slope-intercept and standard form. Vertical and horizontal lines included.
- Writing an equation parallel or perpendicular to a given equation passing through a certain point.
A recording worksheet is included for students to record their answers. They can check their answers by scanning the QR code on each card. Connection to the internet is not required to scan the code. However, a QR scanner app is required on the device. There are several free apps available to download.
If you haven't used QR codes in your classroom yet, I highly recommend them! Students love using the technology, and the self-checking makes it easier on the teacher! A non-QR code version is included as well.
