What educators are saying

This was a fun and easy way for my students to practice their math skills. The graphic was fun, and perfect for the end of the school year. I love that they get instant feedback on each problem, so they don't do a whole assignment incorrectly if they don't understand. And it was so easy to grade!

Description

In this fun self-checking Google Sheet™ activity, students will find the measure of missing angles formed by parallel lines and transversals by first identifying the relationships as corresponding, vertical, supplementary, alternate interior, alternate exterior, or same side interior angles.

This digital activity is no prep, can be assigned in seconds on Google Classroom, and is a breeze to grade. Students will be amazed as more of the picture reveals with each correct answer.

Students will have fun getting immediate feedback! Every time students are correct more pixels will appear and the cell will turn green, incorrect answers will turn red. The puzzle will reveal a popsicle with the words: Nothing is impopsicle”.

Use informal arguments to establish facts about the angle sum and exterior angle of triangles, about the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles. For example, arrange three copies of the same triangle so that the sum of the three angles appears to form a line, and give an argument in terms of transversals why this is so.
Prove theorems about lines and angles.
