Description

These copy free, paperless, no printing required, no prep emergency sub plans are designed for the day when you unexpectedly need to call in a sub and you are not able to gather any materials together or do any prep work. There is no prep required, no copies needed, and no printing required. The only actions you need to take are to download the resource and email it to the correct place. The only materials needed are paper and pencils.

Details:

-This download comes with two PDF documents available:

1) All pages in one PDF file; includes terms of use/credits & lesson plans.

2) Lesson plans only in one PDF; in case you don’t need people to see the other info.

-Contains detailed lesson plans + examples + additional activities.

-Easy for your sub: The sequence of activities repeats in each class period.

-Adaptable to any content area.

-Meant to replace one day of instruction.

-Geared toward middle and high school, but adaptable to other levels.

-Focuses on vocabulary acquisition activities and requires students to interact with each other while talking about content based academic vocabulary.

-Includes examples to help clarify the activities for your sub.

-Includes additional activities that are all no prep/no copy/no print!

Suggested ways to use:

1.Download the plans and select the PDF named “Lesson Plans Only”.

2.If you have time, you can attach your own sub letter with specifics about your schedule. If not, you might rely on your school to provide this info to your sub.

3.Notify your school that you need a sub and email them these plans. They can print them and give them to your sub.

4.OR…Email the plans directly to your sub. They can print them at school, or they can just use the electronic version if easier.

5.Reuse the same plans on another sub day in the future (not intended for use with multi-day absences, although in a pinch, they could be used for that). Although the activities will be the same, the content can be different!

6.Reuse the sequence of activities on a day when you are at school, but your normal lesson plans fall through.

*Please note: these sub plans contain the same sequence of activities that are in my product, Administrator Emergency Sub Plans for Absent Teachers and Sub Plans for Subs: Emergency Sub Plans for Substitute Teachers. The wording of the information in the sub letter has been altered to reflect the different context.
