What educators are saying

I use these every day. They are engaging. These are eye cathing and provide students with quick and easy writing opportunities. I appreciate the holiday themes as well. Great resource.
My students love using these journal prompts in the morning. I love how creative they get with each prompt. It is so fun to see them be creative.

Description

These ready to go paperless journal prompts will save you time and stress in the classroom! Great for distance learning and parents teaching kids at home. Comes in a PDF and a version for Google Slides™ so you can easily assign in Google Classroom™. (Check the PDF for the link.)

Simply show one of the prompts on the computer or whiteboard (able to display PDF) and the students will respond in their writing notebooks. The "Think, Draw, Write" format allows beginning writers to express their thoughts with pictures as well as words. Students will draw a picture in response to the question, then they will also write a sentence about what they drew.

The prompts will encourage your students to think critically and make inferences, as well as practice writing skills.

Great for morning work, daily journal work, or an end of the day peaceful activity before the bell rings!

✅ Includes 225 prompts, enough for the whole year, broken up into months for easy tracking. Some prompts are seasonally themed (i.e. Thanksgiving, Christmas) but there are extra prompts as well if you don't want to use certain holidays in your classroom.
