Description
Data Entry & Graphs for the POSHA–S/Child
The Public Opinion Survey of Human Attributes–Stuttering/Child (POSHA–S/Child) Data Entry & Graphs file is an Excel workbook. It was developed for entering data and automatically analyzing results of the POSHA–S/Child from a sample of children, or just one child, who have been administered the instrument. The POSHA–S/Child can used in projects involving a number of people, such as all the children in a particular grade, or it can be used for individual students or clients. The Data Entry & Graphs file is designed to be used on a computer with relatively large screens, using the Microsoft Excel app. It would likely to be difficult to manage on a smart phone or a tablet with a small screen.
The Excel workbook provides the information needed to enter POSHA–S/Child ratings from any number of respondents in a sample. Columns are provided for 100 respondents, but more can be added if necessary or a single column or a just few columns can be used. Tabs at the bottom of the workbook are sheets for the following: a Description of the workbook, Instructions and two sample respondents, Data Entry, Data for Graphs, Summary Table, Ages & Percentiles, and seven graphs (General, Beliefs, Self Reactions, POSHA-S-Child–Summary, Age/Educ/Income, Health & Abilities, and Demographics). If results are entered carefully according to the instructions, results and graphs are generated automatically. In addition to summary POSHA–S/Child scores and graphs, the workbook compares your sample ratings to those from more than 20 different samples (representing more than 600 children from five countries speaking 5 different languages) in terms of mean results for 3 -year-olds, 12-year-olds, and the median of sample means of ratings from 3–12 year-old children in terms of percentiles and means. Means of all the POSHA–S/Child items, components, subscores, and Overall Stuttering Scores are also shown for each yearly age group from 3 to 12 years as well as comparisons for adults of various ages.
