What educators are saying

A great way to do something fun for Pi day but still have a focus on math! I mixed questions and it was a great review for my Algebra 2 students!

Description

PI Day fun

This is basically a game of BINGO - but I prefer to call it

PI.n.g.o

(pronounced P-I- en-gee-o).

Included are

PI.n.g.o response cards and 72 question cards from which you choose to challenge your students.

Question cards are organized by course. The cards include 24 pre-algebra questions, plus 12 algebra 1, 12 algebra 2, 12 geometry and 12 trigonometry questions for a total of 72 question cards.

Choose which questions to use with your class. If it is a pre-algebra class, use just the pre-algebra cards. If you are using this game with an algebra 1 class, use pre-algebra plus algebra 1. You could also include the geometry set since the questions are middle school level. Choose cards based on your classes ability; or need for review. A trig class can benefit from review of pre-algebra skills! Do not use more than two sets as the time to get a “winner” will increase (and students may grow impatient). Instead, you can play multiple games or alter the rules for a win (“corners” or “box”)

There are 30 PI.n.g.o cards included for a Pre-Algebra level game. You can use them to play the game with pre-algebra skills.

A customized game allows your students to fill-in the cards with their own array of responses before the game begins!

This resource will encourage fun and review for any math class.

It is great for a Pi Day celebration or any day celebration!

Use it for Math Night and challenge the parents (put them on teams with students since we know our students should know the material!)

However you choose to use this activity - HAVE FUN enjoying math!
