PARLIMENTARY PROCEDURE TRIAL

Looking for a fun twist on your Parli Pro Unit? This is a great unit that is fun and allows students to demonstrate some of those Parli Pro skills. My students lacked enthusiasm and struggled to think of good discussions during our Parli Pro unit. So I decided to give them something to discuss.

First, read through the play and learn all about Mr. Wolf and his friends and what crimes they have committed. My students loved acting out these characters and pretending they were witnesses. Then turn it over to the members to decide who is guilty and who is innocent. They will need to use motions and discussion to convince everyone who they believe should be charged. My students were so passionate in convincing each other who was guilty and who was not guilty. For students struggling with how to form a proper discussion, I included a How-to make discussion card and an area to write out their discussion.
