What's Included: (Check out the preview for a closer look)
- Step-by-step directions with photographs - perfect for putting in a center!
- Templates to make an owl
- Three different tummy inserts - blank, with broken lines and with solid lines
Suggestions for use:
- Make in conjunction with a unit on birds. Use the heart tummy to write owl facts. Research owl colors and construct owls accordingly.
- Use to make a glyph to analyze class data, e.g. body color denotes siblings, face color denotes age, eye color for gender and tummy color reflects favorite color!
- For a great beginning school activity, read the book ‘Owl Babies’, by Martin Waddell. The owl babies miss their mommy so much, but she always comes back! This story helps many a kindergartener through the first weeks of school!.
- Make in bright colors and share on Open House night. Also makes a cute Valentine activity!
- Create a not so spooky Halloween bulletin board.
You will need to have brad paper fasteners to attach the wings.
Small hands may need assistance with cutting!
