Over in the Meadow on the First Day of School Song Tale Ebook Bundle

Already thinking about back to school time? Our First day of school bundle is a great resource for any classroom.

Included in our bundle are two versions of our song tale ebook, Over in the Meadow on the First Day of School (including one with instrumental track only and one with vocals), and all of the corresponding activities. We have included reading, math, creative writing, visual art, singing, performance, rhyming, and matching within these activities. Many of them can be used as stand alone activities, but we think they are best used in conjunction with our books.

We wrote this book to be a great back to school resource for any music, pre-K, kindergarten, first, second, or third grade classroom. We hope that elementary music teachers, and classroom teachers alike will find this to be a valuable resource.

Over in the Meadow on the First Day of School is a song story ebook in movie format. The music ebook itself is about four minutes long and there is a sound track that plays along with it. We have created two files, one with accompaniment only and one with vocals to fit your various needs. The files are MP4s and are able to be played on any device, smart phones included. You can also project it onto a large screen.

Over in the Meadow on the First Day of School is an adaptation of the traditional folk song, Over in the Meadow, and finds the meadow animals preparing for the first day of school in their little red schoolhouse. It is a counting song as well.

At Music in the Meadow, we believe that music can be integrated successfully into any classroom and we have included matching, rhyming, art, music, movement, and science activities in our lesson plans. We recommend Over in the Meadow on the First Day of School to be used early in the year and several of the suggested lesson plan materials would work well for getting to know new classmates and building the classroom culture.

Over in the Meadow on the First Day of School also lends itself to being used for Sub plans. Several of the activities could be integrated into sub plans quite easily.
