Orton-Gillingham Lessons 1-5 Bundle: Detailed & Explicit Plans for Literacy

Orton-Gillingham is an approach used for remediation for students who struggle to read and write due to dyslexia. This is an authentic Orton-Gillingham lesson that I developed during internship for Associate-level certification with the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators (www.ortonacademy.org). I have taught this lesson and perfected it. The lesson includes materials for each of the 10 essential components that are needed for implementation: review word cards, new word cards, word cards for syllabication and learned words, controlled reading, and even the phonics drill cards. This is a bundle that includes my individual Introductory Lesson and Lessons 2-5.

Many TpT sellers promote Orton-Gillingham lesson plans or products, but only a few TpT products are sold by a certified O-G Associate. I can assure you that my lessons that are true and complete, following the structure of Orton-Gillingham instruction exactly.

While every O-G lesson is individualized and specific to a particular student, this lesson framework would be useful in the beginning of a tutoring course with a dyslexic student.
