This PowerPoint is a FREE blending drill comparing open, closed, and VCe syllable types. It is a great resource to use with both individual students and the whole class. It is also really handy for virtual/distance learning :)

Directions:

1. Play the PowerPoint

2. Have students say each individual sound as the dot appears under the letter

3. Students blend the sounds together to read the word/base as the arrow appears under the letter
