Ordinal Numbers in Kindergarten

Let's learn about ordinal numbers! This is a huge number sense unit focusing on ordinal numbers to 30. This unit is packed with lessons, centers, printables and lots of easy to make hands-on activities. Simply add simple math manipulatives (or materials from around your house including buttons, beads and rocks!) and you will have ready to use activities. NOTE: Both the use of the numeral (1st) and word (first) for numbers to 30 are included.

- "Listen and Colour" -> listen to the instructions and colour the correct train or boat accordingly

- "Going Fishing" -> pick a fish and record your findings

- "Build and Solve" -> build an ice cream and record your findings

- "I Can Match!" -> match the numeral to the word

- "Albert the Muffin Maker" -> activity based on the book

- "Fun with a Calendar" -> exploring numbers to 30

- "I Have...Who Has...?" -> fun game

- "Build a Sandwich" -> follow the directions on various task cards and build the sandwich in order
