Order of Operations DUO Matching GAME ACTIVITY EXPONENTS & GROUPING 24 TASK CARD
- PDF
Description
Have FUN while practicing Order of Operations with a GAME! DUO: A Matching Game! Keep your students ACTIVE AND ENGAGED!
This is a matching GAME "DUO." There are 24 cards in the set. 4 CARDS PER PAGE. 12 of the answers will match the other 12 answers in no specific order. For example, cards A and J will have the same answer even though the questions are different!!! SELF-CHECKING! Students are to find all 12 matches. If time is an issue, you can ask them to find a certain number of matches or have them finish it for homework. Make it fun! Have a reward if they are able to find “x” number of matches! Or make it a competition! Put groups together!!! You can even spread it out to be a two day review!
(Another time-saving idea: you may hand select the matches ahead of time. Then students could find that predetermined number of matches instead of all 12.)
Another game option is to give students the board with the answers. You can ask them to “win” using a horizontal row, a vertical column, a diagonal, the whole board, the possibilities are numerous!
You can even project the answer board on the overhead and have students write their names in the block after they get that match! See who can make the most matches!
This can be an independent or partner activity!
Post them around the room! Let students get out of their seats! FUN!
Great REVIEW!
