What educators are saying

This organizer makes it easy for students to break up their thoughts. Through this they are composing a paragraph.
My students loved this resource! I teach a first and second grade self contained classroom with varying needs and this resource was perfect for my small groups!

Description

Opinion and argumentative writing can be very hard for students to do. They are very opinionated, but can't seem to find enough to write about!

This graphic organizer helps students not only get their opinion written down, but organize their argument to support their reasoning. This argumentative writing outline will help student prepare for an argumentative essay.

This UPDATED product includes two versions of two different outlines. One version starts off with a space for students to write their CLAIM and one has space for "my opinion." I wanted to give you the option with claim and opinion for the outline as those are two commonly used academic vocabulary terms in this style of writing.

1st version:

This opinion/argumentative essay outline has space for students to outline their reasoning and support it with evidence and elaboration.

2nd version:

This opinion/argumentative essay outline has space for students to outline their reasoning and support. This version would best be used in lower grade levels or as a scaffold.
