Description
This packet contains an activity, a two-tier worksheet, answer keys, and access to online MATHguide lessons, videos, and interactive quizzes.
Students first work on algebra skills when simplifying operations on expressions containing 'i.' Next, students are told that i-squared is -1. They then clean up their expressions to gain final solutions.
The breaking up of the process by allowing students to work on algebra and then i-squared substitution helps slower learners lighten the burden of the assignment. This addresses differentiated learning.
